How to safely remove leaves from your garden

When it comes to Autumn, there is one thing that you can count on, and that is the falling of leaves. However, it’s fabulous to see the green leaves changing colour to reds, yellows, oranges and browns that they become. However, they begin to fall as the tree prepares to go dormant over the winter months. If left unattended, they can cause a hazard. Wet leaves can be a cause for slips and trips. They can also block drains and gutters, causing overflows and dampness to get into walls.

The removal of leaves from the Garden needs to happen; otherwise, you are just setting yourself up for more issues later. The safe disposal of the leaves will probably involve a trip to the local tip or investing in a garden waste bin. A trip to the tip means that you can do it in one go, and with a trailer, it gets even quicker. Another consideration is that your car doesn’t get dirty and subsequently stink off leaf mould.

Trailers need to be serviced and may need to have replacement Trailer Parts like those available from autoandtrailer.com/shop/trailer-parts. Moving the leaves is problematic if there are loads of them. The best way is to use a shovel or pitchfork to gather a significant amount each time. Using a wheelbarrow is a brilliant way of moving the leaves to the awaiting trailer. It’s a much safer way than trying to fill up refuse bags or distribute the leaves in the garden.
